The night on Sunday 18 of October various anonymous activists have freed in an action coordinated to thousands of minks that lived you enclosed in cages condemned to death in three farms situated in Abegondo, Montouto and Vizoño.

The Spanish fur industry -along with their clients- they are responsible for the death of more than 400,000 minks each year. Their victims are suffocated with the gases of the exhaust pipe of a tractor after a life of confinement and hardships. You enclosed in cages of wire of 40 centimeters of wide for 50 of long and 40 centimeters of high, these animals suffer enormously by the deprivation of liberty, without being able to step even the land that there is under the cage.The females utilized as reproductive will pass to three years in them, being their young separated of them to the few weeks of being born for, few months later, to be killed and torn. Due to the enormous stress that causes to be you enclosed, many of these animals present behaviors stereotyped as repetitive movements, they bite the bars, they mutilate or they attack to other.

Thanks to the action coordinated of these anonymous activists, thousands individuals -that not groups of ten- that went to to be killed and torn in 6 weeks, they will have now the opportunity to be free. They as report the mass media, some of these animals already they have been able to move away to 10 kilometers of the farm in which to this early morning prisoners lived.
Animal from Equality we cheer us by each individual that the cage has been able to leave in which was imprisoned and we regret the deaths of the ones that have been knocked down, but we want to recall that all and each one of those animals they were going to die by hand of the furriers, suffocated inside a full drawer of the gas of the exhaust pipe of one of their tractors. The activists have offered them the opportunity to leave their cages and to run for their lives, something that to this night not even they could do.
These actions recall us the need to prohibit the fur farms in Spain and that the citizens to stop collaborating with this industry. It is a fact that can dress us without utilizing the skin or the hair of other animals. We have multitude of synthetic materials and of vegetable origin that do not imply the exploitation of animals of other species.
